Just passing by..............

Its been months.  But I have a new beginning !  We have moved to Shah Alam.  I now lives on landed property.  And am going bonkers with planting flowers and greens at every corner of my 'sekangkang kera' Tanah. 

But some sad news though.  My dear maid, Sulmi, who had been with us for more that 16 years, has passed on last June.  She got sick, we thought it might be dengue. Took her to hospital, but tests showed that it was not.  However, a couple of days later, she collapsed from heart attact / stroke.  Doctors said, its because of untreated hyper tension.  She's been self medicating herself with jamu, I guess.  But then, ajal maut di tangan Tuhan.  She did not suffer.  A couple of days after admission, she passed on.  We made all the arrangements and sent her back to Indonesia.  We will miss her.

The pictures that I have of her are all without any hijab on.  So, am not going to put it up.  I can see her anyway, in my mind, at any time of the day.

 

It's been 2 years................

Good God! Had it been that long since I last updated this blog.  Yup. Looks like it.  But then, I'm not the only one... a lot of bloggers seems to have more or less abandoned their BlogSpot.  Not the IN thing any more I guess.  Most are now into Instagram or Twitter, even Facebook is less popular now.  I have them all by the way....  he he he.

I'm still into baking.  I recently went for my Umrah, Alhamdulillah, even visited Baitulmaqdis, the Al Aqsa. Syukur....

My Passion: Part 2 - Cakes

Hmmm... if you make cupcakes, of course, you'll make cakes as well, correct?  Yes, cake mix can be baked into cupcakes too but some cupcake mix cannot be baked into cakes! And, that's a fact.  Well, here's some my cakes that I've been busy baking (actually, not that busy, because there's more requests for cupcakes as compared to cakes!), and that's another fact of my baking life.

As in cupcakes, I bake cakes in the following flavours, Red Velvet, Carrot, Butter and Chocolate cakes.  But, its a little difficult to show the inside of a cake, as I take pictures of the cakes just before I deliver them. So, most times, I do not get to see how the cake looks after its' been cut, except for a few.... So, you'll just have to trust me, as per titles of the cakes. Its really more about the decorations.  All done by Yours Truly, of course! :D

Chocolate Cake, especially when its commissioned for kids, will

where I get to play with fondant dough!

 

 

 

Some were in the form of mini cakes...

 

 

Not all Engagement/Wedding Gift cakes were fondant decorated cakes.

My Passion: Part 1 - Cupcakes

Happy to note that these have been keeping me busy..... and these too, has given me some extra pocket money to enjoy! hehehe.  But most importantly, I just love doing these and its feels great when to get favourable responses to my cakes and cupcakes.  Alhamdulillah, Thank You.  And I will keep doing this for as long as I'm able to and have the passion to do them.

Ramblings

Well, guess this blogging business is actually still alive. But Facebook and the Twitter has definitely taken over....  I do ALL of my picture uploads into my FB accounts, so its really is troublesome and double work, having to upload the same thing into my blog, don't you think? Well, I think so.  Anyways, my plan is to upload my son's hantarans for the nikah.  Here you go, 7 bekas only.  Keep it simple and sweet.  All personally done by mommy dearest (that's me!).  He he he
